Ray Johnson, executive director of the Wine Business Institute, and Geralyn Brostrom, lecturer at the Wine Business Institute, will be presenting "Opportunities, Obstacles, and Options in the US Beverage Alcohol Market" at VinExpo New York on Sunday, March 3, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Mr. Johnson and Ms. Brostrom "will present advice on preparing for entry into the market, brand readiness and developing a marketing plan. They will also share tactics for finding importers and distributors and the criteria they look for in assessing new producers. Rounding out the discussion will be tips on navigating regulations, and a summary of consumer preferences, demographics, and national beverage alcohol trends. A 30-year veteran of the wine industry, Geralyn has held positions in multiple channels: winery, import, distribution, retail, and the non-profit wine education sector.  She currently lectures in the Wine Business Institute at Sonoma State University and has taught wine business at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone.  Her published books include Into Italian Wine and The Business of Wine, which was nominated for the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.
