The Wine Business Institute was originally founded as the Wine Business Program, a partnership between the wine industry and the School of Business and Economics at Sonoma State University. A brainchild of Mr. Gary Heck of Sonoma and Mr. Walt Klenz of Napa, the goal of this partnership is to provide a world-class business-focused wine education and cutting-edge research for the wine community and its future leaders.
