The Gateway to Professional Success (GPS) Program is a series of six workshops focused on key professional skills that are the critical leadership competencies sought after by employers. Each workshop consists of multiple short presentations of key information followed by faculty-mentored practice sessions designed to help students focus on improving their leadership skills. The GPS Program consists of the following workshops:
- High Impact Communication Skills for the Workplace
- Teamwork and Collaboration Skills
- Effective Managers are Problem Solvers
- Working Successfully with Others
- Putting the "PRO" in Professional
- Self-Empowerment for Success
Participants who complete all six workshops will earn a certificate and a stole to be worn during graduation. Students are also welcome to attend individual workshops without attending the full series, but to earn the certificate and stole, students must complete all six workshops.
The GPS Program is free for all current School of Business juniors, seniors, and professional MBA students, as well as all EOP juniors and seniors. A short application is required to participate. Seats are limited. Applications for the Spring 2025 program are due Friday, December 6, 2024.
