Rich Campbell is a Marketing Professor exploring the intersection of Marketing, Sports Business and Social Media in the classroom, through academic research and by interacting with practitioners as a speaker at conferences and a source for media outlets. In the social media world he was recognized as one of "The Top 50 Must-Follow Sports Business Twitter Accounts Of 2015" by Forbes.com. He can be found @RichCampbellPhD on Twitter. His archive of over 150 articles and interviews on the topic of sports careers is available at sportscareers.about.com. Speaking engagements have included MIT’s Sloan Sports Analytics Conference (2011 & 2013), the IE Group’s Sports Analytics Summit and IE’s Social Media and Web Analytics Innovation Conference. In July 2013, he offered the Keynote Address "Sports: Business, Community and Technology" for the California Issues and Trends Program presented by Leadership California. Dr. Campbell has published multiple academic articles in Sport Marketing Quarterly and recently co-authored an article for an issue of the International Journal of Sports Marketing and Sponsorship.
He was voted Students' Choice Professor in Sonoma State's School of Business & Economics each of the last four years.
