Bachelor's Online Degree Completion Program

Internship Option: Students may substitute BUS 499MG – Internship in Management for one elective course after completing at least two concentration courses. Internships must be approved by faculty and follow program guidelines.

Upper-Division General Education (9 units)

Students must complete one course in each of the following Upper-Division GE Areas (per Fall 2025 requirements):

  • Area 2 or 5 – Mathematical Concepts and Quantitative Reasoning or Physical and Biological Sciences
  • Area 3 – Arts and Humanities
  • Area 4 – Social and Behavioral Sciences

These courses are typically numbered 300–499. Some may also satisfy other graduation or major requirements.

 

Sample Completion Timeline

  • Full-Time: 15 units per semester → complete in approximately 2 years
  • Part-Time: 8 units per semester → complete in approximately 3–4 years
  • Optional: Winter/Summer sessions may be used to accelerate progress

 

Spring 2026 Program Admission Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the Online B.S. in Business Administration—Management Concentration for Spring 2026, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Have completed at least 60 transferable semester units prior to the start of the term
  • Be in good academic standing at the last institution attended
  • Have completed lower-division general education and pre-business coursework, including:
    • English composition, oral communication, critical thinking, and quantitative reasoning (formerly GE Areas A1, A2, A3, and B4 / now Areas 1A, 1B, 1C, and 2)
    • The following business preparatory and core courses (or their articulated equivalents):
      • ECON 204 – Introduction to Macroeconomics
      • ECON 205 – Introduction to Microeconomics
      • BUS 211 – Business Statistics I (or ECON 217 or MATH 165)
      • BUS 225 – Legal Environment of Business
      • BUS 230A – Financial Accounting
      • BUS 230B – Managerial Accounting
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 (California residents) or 2.4 (non-residents)
  • Be eligible to enroll in upper-division coursework at Sonoma State University
