About

Adele Santana is an Associate Professor of Leadership, Strategy and Sustainability at Sonoma State and the Faculty Director of the CSU Shiley Haynes Institute for Palliative Care. She holds a PhD. in Business Environment, Ethics, Strategy and Public Policy from the University of Pittsburgh. At Sonoma State she has taught undergrad, MBA, and
Executive MBA courses on Leadership, Strategy and Policy, Sustainability, and Business & Society. Dr. Santana’s research focuses on business strategy, design and leadership for the creation of shared value, and on social, economic and ecological sustainability in the wine industry. More recently, Dr. Santana has been investigating the organization of palliative care, and instructional designs and teaching techniques that support students' mental health and wellbeing. 

Prior to teaching, Dr. Santana worked as a consultant in organization development and talent management, and as a civil engineer.
